I am at my parent's house, but there are lots of consultants there as well. I am laying in bed and decide to call a guy that I used to work with to see how he is doing. Everyone else is trying to sleep while I'm talking to him. Suddenly he is in bed with me and talking to me and his wife is laying next to him on the other side. He wraps his arms around me to sleep. Then later we are all getting out of bed and his wife says to me, I get cuddled and he just yells at her. Then I go to use the bathroom and the toilet is full of poop. I go to flush it before I use it and it flushes into a basement I can see and just on to the floor. My mom says we need to shovel it down the drain.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Your dream contains several intriguing elements that can be interpreted in various ways:
Parent's House: Being in your parent's house may symbolize a return to your roots, a need for comfort, or unresolved issues from your past. It often represents safety but can also invite feelings of vulnerability.
Consultants: Their presence might indicate a feeling of being judged or evaluated. You may be feeling scrutinized in your personal or professional life.
Talking to a Colleague: Reaching out to a former coworker could imply a desire for connection or support. It may also signify nostalgia for past job experiences or relationships.
The Bed Scene: Sharing a bed with a colleague, while his wife is present, might indicate unresolved feelings or boundaries within relationships. This could reflect a sense of closeness mixed with guilt or confusion about interpersonal dynamics.
Cuddling and Conflict: The contrasting actions of cuddling and yelling could depict a struggle between affection and conflict in your relationships, perhaps highlighting feelings of jealousy, competition, or emotional turmoil.
Bathroom and Poop: Toilets in dreams often represent a need to release emotions or unwanted feelings. The overflowing and need to shovel the waste away suggests that you may be overwhelmed by feelings or situations that you need to handle, cleanse, or address in your waking life.
Flushing into Basement: This could symbolize fears of things getting out of control or hidden issues rising to the surface. Basements often represent the subconscious, so this might be indicating that there are deeper, perhaps uncomfortable emotions or problems that need attention.
Overall, this dream could signify a conflict between your desires for connection and the messiness of relationships in your life. It encourages you to consider what emotions you may need to address or let go of, especially as they pertain to relationships and personal boundaries. There may be areas in your life where you feel a need for resolution or a clean slate.
